VG Scienta, part of Scienta Scientific has R&D and production facilities in Uppsala (founded in 1983), Sweden and in

Surface Science Instruments

With a basis in Professor Kai Siegbahn’s Nobel Prize winning ESCA method, VG Scienta has developed state-of-the-art electron analysers and sources for surface physics measurement systems that help researchers better understand material structures for applications such as superconductors, graphene or magnetic material. Recent development now enables the use of VG Scienta’s electron analysers under near ambient pressures which allows for research in areas such as energy, environmental science and biotechnology.

Equally important are VG Scienta’s PVD-CVD deposition systems which enable lab scale growth of high quality graphene on metallic substrates under vacuum conditions.
